James “Jim” Insinga, 78, died peacefully on December 4, 2024.
Jim was born to Jacob and Grace Insinga. Although Jim grew up in New Jersey, he relocated to the Binghamton area with his family several decades ago making upstate New York his home despite the cold winters.
Jim married the love of his life, Marion (“Merch”), in 1968. They enjoyed a wonderful marriage full of love, laughter, and fun times; raising their 2 daughters Cheryl (Ralph) and Jamie (John), spoiling their granddaughters Katelyn and Piper, and their great-grandson Rylen.
Throughout his life, Jim had many professions and was successful at everything he did due to hard work, dedication and a bit of luck.
In addition to his love for his wife, family and work, Jim very much enjoyed cooking, eating great food, laughs, socializing with friends, playing pinochle, and having and winning good natured debates.
Jim is predeceased by his parents, his in-laws and other members of his extended family. He is survived by his wife, daughters and sons-in-law, granddaughters, great-grandson, many nieces and nephews, sisters and brothers, other family, friends, and his cherished dog Iggy.
Jim received wonderful care and comfort during his time at the Mercy House of the Southern Tier.
