James F. Kane

James F. Kane, 91, went to be with the Lord Wednesday March 6, 2024. He was predeceased by his loving wife Verda (Arlene) Kane; brothers Robert (Bob), Gerald (Jerry), Harry; sister Margaret (Jule) and son-in-law Timothy McGovern.
He is survived by his sister Elaine Lester; daughter Sheila McGovern and son Thomas (Tom) and Karen Kane; Grandchildren Mike (Jennifer) Kane, daughters Marley and Klair, Nicole Kane, Sean (Kim) McGovern son Lucas, Ryan (Chelsea) McGovern and Kathleen (Katie) McGovern.  He is also survived by several nieces,  nephews and beloved cousins. Jim is a graduate of JCHS (football) and Broome Tech. He worked at EJ Factory, GE, Singer Link and IBM. He was a member of the AOH and American Legion Post 1645.  He was a long-term member of St Mary of the Assumption Church in Binghamton NY. 
The Family will receive friends and family from 5-7pm March 11th at Thomas J Shea Funeral Home, Inc. at 137 Robinson St. Binghamton NY 13904.  The Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday March 12th at 10:00AM at St Mary of the Assumption Church, 192 Court St. Binghamton NY 13901. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
