James Maguire

James Maguire, 85, of Conklin passed away Friday July 25, at home surrounded by family following a long courageous battle with cancer. 

James was preceded in death by his parents James Maguire Sr. and Constance (Okonski) Maguire, his brother Francis Maguire, his sisters Patricia ( Robert) Miner, Catherine (Richard) Applegate, Angela Cooney, Marie (Fred) Allen and his twin sister Joan (Pete) Mecca. 

James graduated from St. Paul’s High School in 1959. Upon retirement from Coca-Cola in 2004, James enjoyed frequently traveling to the Finger Lakes with his wife. 

James is survived by his wife of 39 Years Willie Maguire. He is also survived by his sons Michael (Karen) Maguire and Timothy (Nancy) Maguire, daughter Rebecca Getchell, step-son Richard Tuttle and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, sister-in-law Kathryn Maguire and brother-in-law Verne Cooney.  

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11am on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at St. Paul’s Church in Binghamton.  The family will receive friends from 10am until the time of the service.  Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
