Jeffrey J. Owens

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jeff Owens on May 26, 2026. 
Jeff was born on September 1, 1972, and was a beloved husband, father, son, nephew, grandfather, and friend. He was deeply cherished and loved by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Jeff was predeceased by Anthony and Barbra Napolitano and Tim Perkins. He is survived by his loving wife, Becky Owens; his three children, Alec Duryea (Rebecca Duryea), Racheal Owens (Michael Potenzino), and Jordan Owens; his mother, Antoinette Perkins; and his aunts, Shelia Elizondo and Peg and Maria Napolitano; and his beloved dog, Tito, who was his best pal and loyal companion.

Jeff also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Bennett,Michael, Barclay, Theodore, Bellamy, and Blainey, whom he cherished deeply and loved spending time with.

Jeff had many interests and hobbies that brought him joy throughout his life. He loved coaching his children’s youth sports teams and cheering on his favorite professional teams. He was a devoted fan of Kevin Harvick, a loyal Yankees fan, and proudly supported the Dallas Cowboys—always referring to them as “America’s Team”. In his free time, Jeff enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, camping, and making memories doing the things he loved most. One of Jeff’s favorite activities was spending time at the casino playing blackjack or out on his jet skis, blasting classic rock music and enjoying the moment. Above all else, he treasured spending time with his family and never missed an opportunity to show up with the biggest smile on his face at every family gathering. 

One of Jeff’s greatest accomplishments and sources of pride was his work with Southern Tier Insulations, where he was affectionately known as “The Tank.” He took tremendous pride in his work and cared deeply for his employees, creating many of his greatest memories through his career. Jeff was known as hardworking, dependable, kind, and caring, qualities that touched everyone around him.

Anyone who knew Jeff knew what an extraordinary person he was. He will be deeply loved, profoundly missed, and forever remembered.

Services will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home, Inc. in Binghamton, New York
