Jerome Walker Obituary

Jerome R. Walker, 90, of Binghamton, NY passed away peacefully at Willow Point Nursing Home on February 16, 2021. He is predeceased by his wife Ann M. Walker; daughter Patricia; several brothers and sisters; as well as several brother and sister in-laws.  He is survived by his children Roseann and Art Butler, Thomas and Clara Walker, Teresa and Ed Spafard; grandchildren Ben and Celeste Butler, Evi and Chris Dolce, Anthony and Katherine Butler, Molly and Rob Lee, Matthew Walker, Paige Walker, Deanna Spafard; 8 great-grandchildren; in-laws Thomas and Cindy Buckley, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was a member of St. Paul’s Church in Binghamton, NY. He worked for the NYS Dept. of Transportation for 30 years. After retirement, he and his wife Ann enjoyed 20 years as “snowbirds” in Clearwater, FL, where they met many people whom they were proud to call friends. They had the time of their life in Florida. Jerry enjoyed going out walking and loved when he was traveling the world. The family wishes to thank all the staff at Willow Point Nursing Home for their loving care.  Visitation will be held on Monday from 4 until 6pm at the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME INC. 137 Robinson St. Binghamton, NY 13904. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday at 9:30am at St. Paul’s Church in Binghamton, NY. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City, NY. Memorial Donations may be made in Jerry’s memory to the American Diabetes Association PO Box 7023 Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
