Joann Bertoni Obituary

“Grief is the price we pay for Love”
Our family, with much love, send our siter, aunt, great aunt, mother and friend to all, to meet her angels in Heaven.  Joann will join our father (Frank), mother (Irene), nephew (John-John) and so many relatives and friends at the gates of Heaven.
A graduate of Union-Endicott High School (1969), Joann was a cheerleader for football and basketball teams, along with her life-long friends, Donna, Judy, Joelyn, Jennie, John Starring and many others.  Time spent with her friends were forever her best moments, including the “Waples Crew” and friends from Morrisville College.  Her love of Endicott, the Avenue Antique and Art Gallery she owned on Washington Avenue, and her graduation from the Finger Lakes School of Massage, Rivers Edge Massage Therapy opened the doors to serve its’ residents with dignity and purpose.  Joann also worked at IBM for 24 years, as a loyal and respected employee.
Life never prepares us for love lost and our memories will always be reminders of a wonderful story that we never expected to end.  We have so many memories to look back on.  Those days, weeks and months were times that make every second worth a life forever in our hearts.
We love you Jo-Jo and will miss that love you have given us unconditionally.  Thank you for your kindness and sense of friendship and family that we will carry on with us forever.  You were the best person any of us could have asked for.
You cherished your days with Tim Kelly and seeing how happy you both were gave us great joy…your soulmate loved you!  Tim was your angel in your battle with pancreatic cancer.
Joann is survived by her soulmate, Tim Kelly; brothers Frank Bertoni and John Bertoni; daughter Lene (Trond); sister Kathleen Lincourt (John); stepchildren Patrick Greene and Erinn Simon; her nieces and nephews Brian Bertoni, Jennifer Bertoni, Joseph Bertoni (Leslie), Julie Conroy (Patrick), Daniel Bertoni (Mia).  Joann enjoyed her time with their children Dante, Kayla, Luca, Tessa, Brinley and Lincoln.
We will forever miss you Jo-Jo and thank you for every moment you spent with all of us…you were simple the best.
Our thanks and love go to Vicki Mauro Robinson; Eddie and Brenda Delafield and the many family and friends who showered their love to Joann in her time of need.
We also thank Marty DiPietro for his guidance and friendship, from Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home, Inc., in assisting Joann prepare for her journey to Heaven.
One more thing….we forgive you for being left-handed…it was a beautiful thing.
