Obituary

John W Boyett 69, of Johnson City, originally from Monrovia California passed away suddenly on January 22, 2023. He was predeceased by his parents Joanne (Richard) Ather; John S (Patricia) Boyett; Brother Donald (Marla) Boyett; stepbrother Roger Harrison; first wife, Barbara Boyett; Daughter, Kimberly Boyett. He is survived by his wife of many years Cheryl Robinson-Boyett; children Tia Pangburn; John Boyett II; Reyan (Ryan) Hodges. Siblings Michael Boyett of Colorado; Gary Bennett; Kimberly (Jimmy) Hernandez all of California; and several nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. As children, he and his brother Michael participated in DeMolay the young men’s organization of Freemasons. At the age of 17, he enlisted in the United States Navy until his discharge. After moving to Binghamton in the seventies, he worked as a machinist at Ozalid Corp. In the mid-eighties, John started his career as a truck driver in which he drove for many corporations, including Mirabito, and Hess until his retirement. 

A Burial will be held at Vestal Hills Memorial Park on Friday, January 27, 2023, at noon with Military Honors. All who would like to accompany the family may attend.
