We regret to announce the passing of John A. Cordisco, aged 68 years, who passed away peacefully on January 16, 2025, in Binghamton, New York.
John was a former member of the Binghamton City Council for 8 years. He was a respected member of his profession and known for his passion for speaking out on local and national political issues.
In his free time, John enjoyed playing chess and creating podcast YouTube videos, which brought him much joy. He also ran a charity chess tournament out of Cordisco’s Corner store which he operated for many years.
Predeceased by his Parents Nicholas and Jeanne Cordisco and his brother Francis Cordisco. John is survived by his children Nicholas Cordisco and Angela Bouley (Jeff Bouley), his two grandchildren Elizabeth Bouley and Jacob Bouley, brother Tony Cordisco, as well as his niece Cara, nephews Willy, Manny, Matthew and friends.
A funeral service will be held at St. John & Andrew Catholic Church at 1263 Vestal Ave. Binghamton New York on Thursday January 23, 2025, at 11 a.m. Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 to 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Cancer Society.
John will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but his legacy will live on through his family, friends, and colleagues.
