John J. Gracik

On May 30, 2025 God took John J. Gracik, 78 after a battle with liver cancer.  
He is predeceased by his parents Walter and Ann Gracik.  He is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years Cheryl; his loving daughter Pamela Gracik of Endicott; sons Douglas J. Taylor of Syracuse NY and Scott J. (Elizabeth)Taylor Johnson City; grandchildren Chad McGhee, Kelsey (Carrie) McGhee, and Eve Taylor; also his faithful cat companions Kevin and Shadow. 
He proudly served in the United States Marines right out of Johnson City High School.   John retired from IBM; was a member of the Elks 852, American Legion Post 1645, and Past Commander of the VFW 478.
In his younger years he enjoyed golf, fishing, and bowling; one of his best nights scoring a perfect game. He was a lifelong fan of the Giants and Mets and a good horse race.  He was always up for a road trip to the track  or casino, where lady luck was on his side.
Service will be private.
