John E. Miller, Jr.

John passed away after a brief cardiac battle on February 12, 2023 surrounded by his family.  

 He was predeceased by his loving wife of 40 years Carol Coons Miller (2007), his parents Edith and John Miller, Sr., sisters Beverly Ahart, Shirley Skumanick, Joyce Taylor, brother William Miller and brother-in-law David Harendza.  John is survived by his daughter Jennifer Molstead, son-in-law Davdi Molstead, granddaughters Elizabeth and Rachel Molstead, his sisters Sharon Harendza, and Dorothy (Ron) Kuklish, many nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. John graduated from North High Class of 1966 and was a mechanic for over 50 years.  In his early career he worked for Van Atta Buick, Parsons Ford and Feduke Ford.  In the late 70’s through the mid 90’s he owned his own Service Stations in Binghamton and Vestal.  Prior to his retirement he finished out his career with Studers Garage.  John was also a retired Army Reservist. He was also able to partake in an Honor Flight trip; he was so proud he was able to do so.  John was an avid Nascar fan, and enjoyed going to races as he was able.  
The family will receive visitors on Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 11am to 1pm at the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME INC., 137 Robinson St. Binghamton, NY 13904.  There will be a luncheon to follow at Chenango Ambulance, 83 Chenango Bridge Road, Binghamton NY 13901.
