Joseph Burgos Obituary

Joseph A. Burgos, 36, of Binghamton, NY, Tragically left this world unexpectedly on Saturday, July 31st, 2021. Joseph was born in Binghamton, NY. He grew up in the Village of Port Dickinson and was a 2004 High School Graduate of Chenango Valley.  He was a loving father, son, brother, uncle and friend to many. He is survived by his daughter, Khloe Burgos; his parents, Renee Troutman, Joel Troutman and James Burgos; his grandparents, BettyLou (Don) DiRienzo, Chris Hadges, Wanda (Peter) Burgos; brothers, James (Lindsey) Burgos, Nickolas (Ciara) Troutman; sister, Jennifer Burgos; nieces, Sophia Melendez and Alexis Troutman; his first nephew who is expected to be born this month; his girlfriend of 10 years, Amanda Florence; many uncles, aunts, cousins, friends and his beloved dog, Stella. He is predeceased and greeted in Heaven by his Great Gram, Marie Monroe and his Grandfather, Dick Beam.
His time in high school included being a part of the Chenango Valley Football Team and being known as “Golden Toe Joe.” One game is fondly remembered by his family and friends, as he made a 52 yard field goal, bringing his team to victory. He also really enjoyed lacrosse, basketball, skateboarding and video games. He was a lifelong fan of the NY Giants. All who knew Joe, knew that he had an extra special bond with his loving mother, Renee. She was his best friend, always rooting for him through out his entire life. Their bond will remain alive even in death, as a piece of her heart beats for him.
Anyone who ever met Joseph, knew how big his heart was. Joseph worked in many kitchens before he found his true calling as a Certified Nursing Assistant. He truly loved helping his patients and his fellow coworkers at Bridgewater Center for Rehabilitation. He had such a fun, lighthearted, joyful personality and was able to put a smile on anyone’s face the minute he entered a room. His laugh was contagious and will be so deeply missed by those who knew him. Joe left this world too early, but his memory will forever live on within the hearts of his family and friends who loved him so dearly. Until we meet again our sweet Joe, rest peacefully.
We want to thank those who have shown such generosity towards the family, as well as those who have reached out with words of comfort during this difficult time; a true testament of how loved and missed Joe is. Friends are invited to reminisce and say their final goodbyes at a viewing from 5pm-7pm on Thursday, August 5th, 2021 held at Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home on Robinson St. in Binghamton, NY.
