Joseph Phillips Obituary

Joseph R. Phillips 89, of Conklin, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2021. He is predeceased by his parents John and Sadie Phillips: sister Wilma Osier; brother John Phillips. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Josephine Phillips; children John (Cathryn) Phillips, Chuck Phillips, Sheila (Edward) Place, Kathleen (David) Anderson; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Joe had a special relationship with his grandson, Chris, always lending a helping hand at home and at the cottage. As well as brother Bill (Irene) Phillips; numerous nieces and nephews. Joe retired from IBM after 42 years. He enjoyed spending summers at his cottage on Cayuga Lake. Joe loved his dogs and was known for always doing yard work around his house. The family would like to thank the staff at Elizabeth Church Manor for the loving and kind care. Due to COVID-19, a private Funeral Service will be held for the immediate family. He will be entombment at Vestal Hills Memorial Park. Those wishing to offer expressions of sympathy in memory of Joe may do so to the Broome County Humane Society.
