Joseph P. Wunders

Joseph P. Wunders, 69, of Apalachin went to be with the Lord on October 13, 2025 after years of health issues, with his family by his side. He was predeceased by his parents John and Lois Wunders; two brothers, Carl and Louie Wunders. He leaves behind his wife of 28 years, Linda Davis Wunders, two brothers; John and Bob Wunders, his son Dan (Lindsay) Craven, daughter, Courtney Donnelly, stepson, Bryan (Carrie) Mozes and grandchildren, Jeanette, Ella, Kylie, Nicholas, Gabbie, Delia and Emma whom he loved with all his heart. His sisters-in law, brothers-in-
law, nieces, nephews and more friends than we can mention including his closest, Bob Peterson, Kevin Rittenhouse and Ron Wheeland. Brothers from other mothers!

Joe was the epitome of what good and kindness is in this world. He always had a smile for you even when he was hurting. He loved his family and friends immensely and the feeling was returned. It was a blessing just to have known him. He would give you his last dollar if needed and we can only hope to live our life the way he did.

He worked for many years at American Excavating under his good friend, Tom Erich. He was a die hard Buffalo Bills fan and he loved going to Cayuga/Seneca Lake and traveling with his family. A wonderful husband, father, brother, papa and friend. There are people who bring a light so great to the world that even after they have gone, their light remains. Joe’s light will shine on in our hearts forever.

Visitation will be held on November 1, 2025 from 10:00am until 12:00pm with a service to follow at 12:00pm at Northbridge Vestal Church, 2101 Owego Road, Vestal, NY 13850.
