June Leo Obituary

June P. Leo passed away on Wednesday, December 4th. June was predeceased by her husband, Frank J. Leo, Sr., her brother, Vance Arnold, sister, Loraine Moriarity, brother-in-law Lawrence Moriarity, and brother-in-law Joseph Kapral. She is survived by her sister, Jane Kapral, her children, Frank Jr., James, and Robert (Ann), her grandchildren, Brittney (Tony), and Nicole (Malcolm), and her great grandchildren, Connor and Hailey affectionately referred to as the “Little Man” and “Little Lady.”  June is also survived by many nieces and nephews, who she adored.

June was born in Clayville, NY to parents Leona and Eugene Arnold. She began working at a young age to support her siblings, and ultimately formed her career at GAF in Binghamton and IBM in Owego. June and her husband, Frank Sr, made their home on the East Side of Binghamton, where they instilled in their three sons a relentless work ethic, fierce love of family, and genuine concern for others. June lives on in the memory of her family as a symbol of honesty, strength, and unyielding loyalty to family. A testament to her success as matriarch of the Leo family is that all three of her sons surrounded her, holding her hands as she passed.

It is challenging to put into writing the type of presence June had. She was unapologetically herself, lighting up every room she entered with a beaming smile, infectious laugh, and fabulous outfits & makeup. She loved getting her hair done, going shopping, taking girls trips to Tioga Downs Casino, and any activity that gave her a chance to socialize and laugh. She never had a bad word to say about anyone, loved to cook for her family, and attend family barbecues.  June was a faithful Catholic and believed in Jesus Christ.

May her memory be a blessing to all those lucky enough to have been a part of her incredible life.  Heaven just gained a very fashionable angel.

Funeral arrangements will be private.
