Kathleen Simpson Obituary

Kathleen Marie (Diehl) Simpson, age 36, of Endicott, NY, passed away with her family by her side on September 23, 2023 from breast cancer.
Katie leaves behind a legacy of love, courage, and determination. She will be remembered as the force of nature that she was. Katie faced more challenges than most in life and had a superhuman tenacity to live it exactly the way she wanted. She got married, owned a home, learned to drive, had a job she loved, and cared for many pets over the years. While this disease cut her life short, her years were full.
She is survived by her husband Michael Simpson;  her parents, Glenn and Mary Ann Diehl of Grand Prairie, TX;  brother Michael (Lindsay) Diehl of Austin, TX; grandmother Ann Cleary of Vestal; in-laws Roger and Goldie Simpson; brother-in-law Roger; sister-in-law Lisa; uncles and aunts Greg and Joanne Diehl of Port Crane, John and Jean Cleary of Ridgewood, NJ, Bill and Janet Cleary of Corning, NY, Joe Cleary and Erin McNeil of Belmont, MA, and Dave Cleary of Spokane, WA; many cousins; and her devoted dog Russia and cat Spencer.
Katie touched many lives, including an extensive network of friends, the kind and generous people in the community, and the doctors and caregivers who provided compassion and companionship. She cultivated so many relationships that supported her life's goal to be a member of her community.
Katie is predeceased by her grandfather John Cleary, grandfather Elmer Diehl, Grandmother Marion Diehl, and son Grayson Andrew Simpson, who was taken too early as well due to this disease.
