Kenneth “Ken” Charles Jones, 87, of Chenango Bridge, peacefully drifted into heavenly bliss, reuniting with his loving bride of 54 years on September 21, 2022. In addition to his wife, Barbara “Bobbie” Jones, Ken is predeceased by his parents, William and Pearl Jones, siblings James and Robert Jones and Mary Cicak, daughter-in-law, Colleen Jones, and granddaughter, Delaney Eccleston.
Ken is survived by his children, William and Denise Jones, Lisa and Mike Buman, Stephen Jones and (Colleen Jones), Kathryn Zebrowski, Barbara and Robin Eccleston, grandchildren, Richard and Misty Jones, Jessica and Adam Warholic, Kelly and Mike Buman, Jason and Kim Micha, Jamie and Katherine Micha, Corey and Trinity Micha, Nick and Joél Jones, Luke and Nadia Zebrowski, William, Rose, and Thomas Eccleston and his great grandchildren, Julie, Jenna, Johnathan, Molly, Beckett, Lawson, and Jonathan. Ken was a man of few words, but when he spoke, everyone listened. It was typically something funny. He will be missed and well remembered for the highly revered and respected, loving man that he was and for the name he made for himself in the community through his work. His passion was providing for his family and he did just that through a lifetime of self-employment. He was a gifted plaster mason and home builder. Ken eventually was able to build his wife her dream home upon establishing “Ken Jones Construction” where building cherished homes became his reality. Ken enjoyed his post-retirement position as caretaker at Temple Concord. Ken’s passions were his family and the Buffalo Bills. He spent his summers with his children at the cottage in Forest Lake, PA and camping at Southwick Beach State park. Because Ken’s family was his life’s work; His legacy lives on through all of them. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2022 from 2pm to 4pm at the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME, INC. A Funeral Service will follow at 4pm. Burial will be private in Chenango Valley Cemetery.
