Kenneth Raymond Obituary

Kenneth Raymond, age 59, of Chenango Forks passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on February 23, 2024 after a long valiant battle with ulcerative colitis and cancer.  He was predeceased by his father Kenneth Raymond, stepfather William Lacey, mother-in-law Carol Kephart, and brother and sister-in-law Lance and Jeanne Bronson.  He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 29 years, Lenore, his 5 children who he absolutely adored; Noah Raymond, Danielle (Kurt) Meyer, Adam (Alexis) Bronson, Kellsea (Chris) Bronson, and Mackenzie (Scott) Bronson; and his 3 cherished grandchildren; Penelope and Lenore Meyer and Lance Bronson.  He is also survived by his mother, Betty Lacey, sister Beth Bowen-Raymond, father-in-law Ted Kephart and brother-in-law Ted Kephart.  Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends and his faithful companions Stewie and Archer.
Ken was a 1983 graduate of Windsor High School and attended Johnson College of Technology in Scranton, PA, followed by a 5-year apprenticeship program with the Local 112 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union to become a Journeyman.  He retired from Local 112 after 30 years.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He loved spending summers at Sandy Pond with his family. He also enjoyed playing in the Southern Tier Horseshoe League and was a lifelong Buffalo Bills fan.  His family was everything to him and there wasn’t a more proud Father or Grandfather around.  He will be dearly missed by family and friends.  The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Sambidi and staff at Lourdes Oncology, Lourdes Hospice and a very special thank you to “his girls” at Lourdes Infusion Center for their loving care.
The family will receive friends at the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME, INC.  from 9 am to 11am on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 with a service to follow at 11am.  Burial will be private.  Expressions of sympathy in Ken’s name, payable to Lenore Raymond, for the Lance Bronson Scholarship Fund or the Broome County Humane Society.
