Lewis R. Jayne

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our father Lewis R. Jayne after a brief illness on August 24, 2025 surrounded by his family at the age of 91. 
He is predeceased by his wife of many years Barbara; his beloved grandson Shane; sisters Madge, Estella, Fran, Veronica and Beverly; brother Bill; and longtime companion Barbara Button
He is survived by devoted children Joseph Jayne, Brenda (Mark) Harrington and Cindy (Karl) O’Neill; grandchildren Heather (Will Kellogg) Harrington, Steven O’Neill; and great grandchildren Lilia and Xander; sister Gloria Jayne; as well as many nieces and nephews.  

 A long-time dedicated employee at the Binghamton Psychiatric Center. In his retirement he enjoyed garage sales and flea markets.  He was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and Project Concern. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025 from 12Noon to 2pm at the Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 137 Robinson Street Binghamton.  A funeral service will follow at 2pm. Entombment will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park.
