Linda Root

Linda M. Root, 64, of Windsor, went home to her Lord February 20, 2021. She was predeceased by her parents Robert and Doris Larnerd. She is survived by her husband Russell, brothers Robert Larnerd and Michael Larnerd. Her children Randy (Marisa) Hill. Connie Hill, Jonathan Root, and Saadia Blaha. Grandchildren; Amber Hill, Jason Hill, Quentin and Gavin Blaha, and great grandson Jamel Hill. She was also close to many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. Linda worked for many years at Lourdes hospital in the pediatric unit until she opened her own daycare business. That led her to doing foster care services for many years, providing love to many children as “Aunt Linda”. She then worked at Windsor Schools in the cafeteria and as a bus monitor. Linda had a heart devoted to children and loved working with them in every role.
A Funeral Service will be held Thursday 6pm from the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME INC. 137 Robinson Street Binghamton.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 pm until service time at 6.  Please consider donations to the Alzheimer’s Association in lieu of flowers.
