Loren J. Puterbaugh, 78, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on July 10, 2021, after a year of battling many health issues. He is predeceased by his parents Warren and Betty Puterbaugh; brother Mark Puterbaugh and sister-in-law Pat Puterbaugh. Loren is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Bonnie (Caruso) Puterbaugh; his children Debbie Singer (Randy), David (Carrie) Puterbaugh; stepchildren Debbie (Phil) Runkey, Richard (Kathy) Dimmick, Dave (Lori) Dimmick; grandchildren Elijah, Erica, Taylor, Madden, Casey, Corey, Steven, Amanda, David, and Taylor.
Loren graduated from UE High School then attended Broome Tech, where he excelled on the basketball court. He was employed by IBM for over 25 years and after his retirement began working at Traditions at the Glen and the Links at Hiawatha Landing. He was an avid golfer and a great all-around athlete throughout his life. He loved watching all sports, especially the NY Yankees and NY Giants.
Loren lived life to the fullest, and over the years, he created some legendary memories for those who knew him. He will be greatly missed, but those memories and stories he left behind will leave many smiles for years to come.
A Celebration of Loren's life will be held at Endwell Greens Wednesday, July 28, 3-6 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in his memory to the Danielle House, 160 Riverside Drive, Binghamton, NY 13905.
