Mario Baldelli

Mario Baldelli, 85, this gentle hearted loving man quietly passed from this life at home on Friday, November 18, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.  Mario was born on November 24, 1936 in Rome, Italy and came to America at the age of 29.  He was predeceased by his mother, Annunziata Baldelli, Angelo and Teresa Incitti, infant daughter, Adriana, and grandsons, Rocco and Dominick Baldelli.  He is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Marta (Alfarano) Baldelli, their children: Romano Baldelli, Adriano (Mary Beth) Baldelli, and Tina Hamilton; his grandchildren who he adored Anthony and Adriana Hamilton, and Luca and Marco Baldelli; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his loving family, he was blessed to have many wonderful friends.  He was a generous and giving man who was always there for anyone in need especially when it came to his talents as a carpenter. He joined the local Carpenters Union in 1968.  Most will remember him for his love of soccer.  He was an avid fan of Roma and enjoyed watching the Italian Soccer League with his closest group of friends.  He was a member of the Sons of Italy and St. Anthony of Padua Church.  He will be missed so much by all who had the privilege of being a part of his life.  Many thanks to the nurses from Lourdes Hospice.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 11 am from St. Anthony of Padua Church 300 Odell Ave Endicott.  Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at church on Tuesday from 10 am until mass.  Arrangements are by Martin DiPietro in care of the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME INC. 137 Robinson St. Binghamton.
