Mark R. Felker of Kirkwood, 64, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday morning, April 24, 2022, at home.
He was born in Binghamton, NY to Robert and Olga (Libak) Felker.
He was predeceased by his father, Robert. Mark is survived by his mother, Olga, of Hillcrest; son, Stephen (Crystal) of Windsor; daughter, Allison (Nick Monico) of Binghamton; and grandchildren, Bennett and Duncan Monico, Logan and Lochlan Felker; Phyllis (mother of his children), and sister-in-law, Shelley Schiffer.
He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as many lifelong friends.
Mark was an avid hunter, fisherman, and tennis player in his earlier days. He enjoyed camping, boating, riding his motorcycle, working around the house, and helping his children with whatever they needed.
He was a fan of NASCAR, Formula 1, and IndyCar Racing. He enjoyed having family over for cookouts and was always up for a quick chat or a long conversation.
He graduated from Chenango Valley High School and Broome Community College and was a Mechanical Engineer by trade and loved to tinker. Throughout the years, he worked for Bendix, Allied Signal, and Systems Manufacturing Corporation.
Mark loved his family, and he will be deeply missed.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 12 p.m. at the Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home, 137 Robinson Street, Binghamton. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
