Mark W. Rifenbury (RIFF), 73, unexpectedly passed away with his loving family at his side on December 30, 2024.
Mark was predeceased by his father, William Rifenbury; brother Craig; great aunt Chopine; grandparents Maria and Silvio Finelli; grandmother Stella Kittle; uncles Paul, Mario, Michael and Johnny Finelli; aunts Sylvia Yannuzzi, Lilia Gonzalez; loving mother-in-law and father-in-law Nancy and Philip Fiume Sr.; sister-in-law Rose Fiume; brother-in-law Philip Fiume; brother-in-law James Bialek and sister-in-law Cindy Fiorini.
Mark is survived by his loving wife Rachel of 54 years; children Mark Rifenbury Jr. and Laurie Rifenbury; mother Evelyn Rifenbury; siblings Peter Fiorini, Pam (Tom) Pasquale, Jeff Rifenbury, Christina (Chad) Rieselman; brothers-in-law Joseph Fiume, John (DeeDee) Fiume; sisters-in-law Nancy Bialek; Kathie Fiume; as well many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mark was a devoted husband and father, rock of the family. He retired from Chesapeake Box Company in Conklin. He loved bowling and achieved a 300. He loved Harrah’s Casino in Atlantic City, his favorite place to be playing his triple stack joker poker. He was a people person, loved everyone, always went out of his way to make people happy. He will be greatly missed by all, especially for his famous pies.
His famous sayings are “Must be in Front Row” and “Ready”.
Visitation will be held on January 11, 2025 from 12 to 2pm, with a funeral service to follow at the Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 137 Robinson St. Binghamton.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
