Mary Bonner
9/5/1944- 5/25/2026
Mary is predeceased by her parent Mildred and Raymond Fritzen; her husband Edward P. Bonner Jr.; her sons Edward P. Bonner III and Michael Bonner.
She is survived by daughter Laura Bonner (Blaise), her husband Travis Blaise, & four grandchildren Olivia, Zachary, Isabella, & Harrison Blaise. She has countless relatives, friends, nieces and nephews across many states.
Mary graduated from Most Holy Rosary in Syracuse NY where neatness counts. She went on to attend D’Youville College where she met lifelong best friends. They continued to travel together throughout their adulthood and made countless memories.
After college she married Edward Bonner and they lived in Germany with the US Army. She stayed home with three children until their youngest went to school.
Mary went to work at Chenango Forks CSD as an elementary library aid & quickly excelled. Neighboring school Chenango Valley then brought her on as their elementary librarian and paid for her to attain a Master’s Degree in Library Science from Syracuse University.
After retirement she turned her focus to become Grammy. She was devoted to her family and lovingly doted on her grandchildren. She continued to travel & spent time in Florida in winters and summered back home in NY.
Her favorite things were traveling with her D’Youville group, gardening, art, fancy restaurants and her grandchildren. Beloved, kind, caring, she will be greatly missed.
