Mary Lanuti Obituary

Mary Michelle (DiLella) Lanuti, age 68, of Endwell NY, passed away peacefully in the arms of our Lord on September 14, 2021 and reunited with her parents Dominick and Mary DiLella and beloved in-laws Carl and Frances Lanuti.  She was where she wanted to be, at her home surrounded by her husband, children, sisters and grandchildren. Mary fought a courageous battle which started with her first cancer diagnosis 21 years ago and faced each new challenge with courage, dignity and a will to live.  She was born September 27, 1952 in the Bronx, NY and later lived her young adult life in Carteret NJ, graduating in 1971 from Carteret High School. She moved with her family in 1973 to Endwell, NY where she began her working career. It was at Universal Instruments where she met her husband Carl, 43 years ago and just celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary.  She also volunteered at Saint Anthony's School and worked at Seton Middle School when her children were young and later worked for M&T Bank.  Mary was a natural holiday decorator and always went over the top. Her favorites were Halloween and Christmas where she transformed her home into a magical wonderland of amazement. Mary is survived by her loving husband Carl, children Dominick (Kara) Lanuti, Gina (Cleto) Fante and Teresa (James) Savich.  Grandchildren, 3 of which were born this year, Mia Michelle Lanuti, Riccardo Franco Fante, Gemma Josephine and Leonardo James Savich.  Sisters Suzanne DiLella (Judy Fortunato) and Jude (Tina) DiLella. In-laws Pat and Bill McAvoy, Michael Lanuti and Cheryl Carpenter, nieces, nephews, aunts and loving cousins.  The family would like to thank the ongoing staff at Lourdes Hospital, Lourdes Hospice and Mercy House.  In lieu of flowers please consider donations to Mercy House of the Southern Tier.

Funeral services will be held Monday September 20th at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Endicott with visiting hours starting at 9 a.m. followed by mass at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Johnson City immediately following.

Rest in eternal peace, our forever Angel Mary
