Mary Peake Obituary

“She came to us, no strings attached, her unconditional love remains unmatched.

She held our hands tighter, the older we grew. Made it a point to teach us everything she knew.

Her love for us never wavered, steadfast and strong. She’d given us the strength to heal all along.

She was our keeper, our friend, our Lady Luck, through our hardest moments, when we felt stuck.

With tender love, dignity and amazing grace, she wipes the tears gently from our face.

Not once, not twice, but three times a lady, her memory lives on, atop a tree that is shady.

Our loving ladybug watches from above and fills the garden, we call life, with an abundance of love.

So here’s to you, Mary Jeanine,

Forever in our hearts, forever in our dreams”

                                               - Morgan Elizabeth

Her love for her family was immense, and it now shines from the heavens, eternally.

Mary is survived by her son, Sid (Lesley) Peake, granddaughters Jessica Peake and Morgan Peake (Michael Ferris Jr.), great granddaughters, Lily Kennedy, Harlow Smith and great grandson, Ronan Smith, her brother, Brig.Gen (ret.) Dudley J. (Ann) Gordon, nephews Jack (Jane) Gordon and Mike (Melissa) Gordon, Thomas Gordon and Stephen Gordon, grandnephew Matthew Gordon, grandnieces Katie (Kevin) Burk, Shannon Gordon and Abigail Gordon, and great grandnieces Delany and Erin Burk, as well as many special cousins and family friends.

Final arrangements are in care of the Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home, Inc. As it was Mary’s wish, for no formal funeral services, a celebration of her life will be scheduled, at a later date, to honor her life and achievements.
