Mary Joan Guido Obituary

Mary Joan Carlin Guido, 90 passed away peacefully on November 22, 2022 surrounded by her family.  She is predeceased by her parents Albert and Anna Carlin; husband Edward J. Guido Sr., brother and sister-in-law Jack and Jean Carlin and niece Kate Carlin Bailey.  She is survived by her children Joseph Guido, Edward J. Guido Jr. (Heather), Linda Utyro (Chris), Martin Guido (Nicole); grandchildren Courtney Cady (Darien) Joshua Cady, Dyllan Guido, Jaden Guido; great grandchildren Payton, Colton, Wyatt and Liam; special grandchildren to her Alicia, Alex; her many nieces, nephews and cousins. Lifelong friends Heinle and Kristek families; best friend Sybille Sullivan.  Mary worked at Marine Midland Bank and many years for Lourdes Hospital. But her favorite job was babysitting.  She watched numerous children over the years. 
Mom was an extremely kind and generous person.  Gave countless hours of her time to Chow Pantry, Clothing banks and church functions. Faithful and devoted Catholic, Member of St. Paul’s Church. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Louise Manor and Elizabeth Church Manor for the care and kindness given to mom. 
Calling hours will be Sunday, November 27, 2022 from 4pm to 6pm at THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME, INC. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday 10am at St. Paul’s Church, Binghamton. Burial will be in the spring in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
At her request in lieu of flowers monetary donations can be sent to Sisters of St. Joseph Provincial House, Watervliet Shaker Road, Latham N.Y.  or a charity of your choice.  
Every child is a unique and unrepeatable gift of God.
