It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Mason G. Divis on Thursday, June 19th, 2025 after a 4 year, hard fought, battle with the aftermath of his motorcycle accident. Mason was born to Steven and Marybeth Divis in Binghamton, NY on September 20th, 2000. He is survived by his parents Steve and Marybeth, brother Hunter Divis, many loving Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Grandparents, and a multitude of dear friends.
Mason grew up as the youngest child of the house and was well known for his devilish but kind behavior, outdoor spirit, and a strong desire to keep up with the big kids. He spent most of his time riding dirt bikes, running chainsaws, and operating heavy equipment with the skill of someone well beyond his age. He was also known for his unnatural physical strength that surprised all who experienced it. While Mason never had much love for school and books, he had a deep love for hands on learning and trade work. All who knew him would agree that Mason was a true friend with a big heart underneath his goofy and playful exterior. Our family would like to thank all our extended family and dear friends who have helped us navigate the past 4 years with love and compassion. We would also like to express our deepest gratitude to the nursing staff Mason has been blessed with the past 4 years. Mason never could have experienced as much life in his condition without the dedication of his team.
Our family will receive friends and well wishers from 4pm-6pm, Friday, June 27th, at the Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 137 Robinson St, Binghamton, NY 13904.
