Michael R. Buman, II, (Mikey) 33, of Binghamton, NY, passed away suddenly on July 10, 2024.
Michael, a 2010 Chenango Valley graduate, supervisor for Annseal, Inc., for more than 10 years, is predeceased by his grandparents Jane and Alan Husband and Barbara and Kenneth Jones. Michael is survived by his loving parents, Lisa and Michael Buman, his partner and love of his life, Alexa Conklin, his sisters Jessica (Adam) Warholic and Kelly Buman, his nieces and nephew Julie Sbarra, Jenna Warholic and John Sbarra, many aunts, uncles and cousins and his best and closest friends Joe Bleil and Merle Craven.
Michael was the kindest, most loving, outgoing and happiest person you could have ever met. If you knew him, you loved him and he certainly made you laugh at one point or another. Michael always knew the right thing to say when speaking to one of his friends or family. He knew just how to make your day a little bit better. Michael lived his life to the absolute fullest. Besides spending time with his family and friends, Michael’s greatest passion in life was speedway racing. Michael spent time on the US Speedway Touring team in England, and traveled across the United States and Canada so that he could carry out his dream of racing professionally. When Michael wasn’t racing, he was talking about the next race or working on one of his bikes. Michael also enjoyed the several months he spent in Florida each year with his parents, soaking up the sun while riding motorcycles with his dad. Michael’s personality lit up the room and will be missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
A celebration of life will be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mikey Buman Memorial Fund, set up in his honor to help sponsor future young motorcycle racers. Donations can be made via https://www.gofundme.com/f/Buman-Legacy
