Michael A. Vascello

Michael Anthony Vascello was many things to many people. He was a son to Anthony (deceased) and Sharleen Vascello born on January 10, 1970. He was “Sweet Man” to fiancé Marilynn and brother to James Vascello (Lexi). Micheal was a caring father to Nicholas (Coreen), Taylor (Christopher), and Christopher. He was a loving “Pop” to grandchildren Jayden and Savannah, dutiful grandson to Herb and Bernice Alsdorf and nephew to many including Loretta, Cassandra and Herb Alsdorf (Georgiana). He was “Big Mike” to Tori (Rob), Mia, Nick, Lucas, Ben and Frankie. “Luchi” is survived by many friends, especially Lynn Mosser, Kyle Pritchard and Jeff Correll and family who will miss him dearly. He was dedicated to his work at the town of Binghamton and enjoyed spending time with family and friends and hunting in his free time. All can agree Michael was a man with endless kindness and love that he shared with everyone he met. He will be missed by many, leaving us too soon on May 24, 2022.

Visiting hours will be on Thursday, June 2nd from 3pm until 6 pm at the Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 137 Robinson Street, Binghamton.   A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 3rd at 1pm at the funeral home.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Michael Vascello Sports Fund. Checks can be sent to PO Box 65 Corbettsville NY 13749. This fund will help children in need of sports equipment, a cause near and dear to Michael’s heart.
