Monica M. (Edwards) Fitzgerald

Monica M. Fitzgerald, 67, of Port Crane, NY passed away on April 5, 2022, with her loving husband at her side after an extended illness. She is predeceased by her parents, George and Daidre Edwards, her father-in-law, William J. Fitzgerald and her brother-in-law, Timothy Fitzgerald. She is survived by her devoted husband, William F. Fitzgerald, her children, Misty (John) Hastings and Ricky (Eda Su) Kutz, her cherished grandchildren, Logan (Mark) Glass, Jordan (Troy) DeRemer , Allison DeRemer, Zack (Shea) Hastings, McKenna Hastings, and her great grandchildren, Carter and Grayson whom she adored. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Clela (Randy) Cooley, Starr (Fred) Kutz, George (Debra) Edwards, Jr, Rory Edwards and Kim DeRito. Mother in-law Carolyn Fitzgerald, Brother & Sister in-laws, Daniel (Mary) Fitzgerald, Kathleen (John) Rodzinka, Patricia (Michael) Corbett & John (Patty) Fitzgerald, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Monica was employed for many years at UHS. She was an avid NY Mets and LV Raider fan and enjoyed cheering them on. Monica was well known for her love of all animals. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at UHS Wilson-North Wing 3 and the Mercy House for their excellent care. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 212 N. McKinley Ave, Endicott, NY 13760 in Monica’s memory. At Monica’s request there will be no services.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
