Noreen C. (Edwards) Lanko

Noreen C. Lanko, 88, of Binghamton NY passed away unexpectedly with her family by her side on February 27, 2026.   
She is predeceased by her husband Christopher Lanko; father and mother Vern and Ellen Edwards; brothers John “Jack” Edwards, James “Jim” Edwards, and Thomas Edwards.
She is survived by her devoted children Ellen Lanko (Francis Michalek), and Thomas Lanko; grandchildren Kaitlyn (Zach Miller) Bobik, Aaron Lanko and Jordan Lanko; siblings Gerald Edwards, Donald Edwards, Richard (Barbara) Edwards; several nieces, nephews and her special "sidekick" Emily Edwards. 

Lifelong resident of Binghamton, graduated from North High School, worked at Ma-Bell and retired from AT&T.   Loved her special little friends Boston and Bentley, enjoyed spending winters in South Carolina with family. Proud of her Irish Roots and loved her spontaneous adventures with Ellen.    

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2026 from 4pm to 6pm at the Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 137 Robinson St. Binghamton.   A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Paul’s Church on Monday at 11am.   Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
