Patricia L. (DeLorme) Maroney

Patricia L. (DeLorme) Maroney passed away peacefully at home on Thursday April 1, 2021 with her loving family at her side. She is survived by her husband of 58 years; Robert F. Maroney, a daughter; Theresa Johnson (Carl), three sons; Robert F. Maroney (Lisa), Damian Maroney (Tina), and Colin Maroney (Cindy), all of Binghamton. Patricia is also survived by seven beautiful Grandchildren; Cody, Craig, Andrew, Justin, Jake, Kelsey and Colin, and six adorable Great Grandchildren; Moses, Lincoln, Leighton, Deacon, Santiago and Gideon. They were truly the love of her life.  She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.  Patricia was a dedicated employee with the Binghamton City School district for 38 years where she cared and loved the children entrusted to her. She made amazing longtime friends throughout the years. Her love and compassion touched the lives of countless people in a positive, caring and compassionate way. Patricia enjoyed numerous trips to the beach, gardening and daily pool parties at the house. She never turned anyone away and believed in an open door policy with guests where she made it a point to make you feel at home. After spending time with her you were not only a friend, you were family. She will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to meet her. Patricia leaves behind her four siblings, Clark (Kathy), Billy (Heather), Dede and Kiki and dear friend; Paulette Grady, who Patricia came to know as family through their many years long friendship. Also several nieces and nephews who all rallied behind her in this very difficult time. We would like to thank the staff at Lourdes Hospital and the amazing hospice team who supported us through this challenging period.  Visitation will be held on Monday, April 5, 2021 from 4pm to 6pm at the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME, INC, 137 Robinson St. Binghamton, New York 13904.   The Funeral Service will be private. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
