Patrick James Michael Shea

Patrick James Michael Shea father, grandfather and friend , 72 of Binghamton, NY, left this world unexpectedly on the afternoon of July 12, 2022 after a brief illness with his son Sean and daughter-in-law Nicole at his side. Pat is predeceased by his parents Edward and Florence Shea who welcomed him at the gates of heaven.  He survived by his sons Sean (Nicole) Shea, Daniel (Ashley) Shea,  Michael Shea along with 7 pots and pans (aka grandkids) Lillie, Samantha, Sadie, Laurel, Trinity, Lucas, Robbie. He also leaves behind his closest friends "Tom Tom" Tobin, Jimmy Metzer, Pete VanVestrout and Tony LaRusso (need to verify spelling). Pat will be missed dearly by many more. Pat proudly retired from the Binghamton Recreation Department. He will be remembered for his whacky one liners,  contagious laugh and his love for telling stories. Pat was a simple man he enjoyed reading, history, music, sports, just being with friends and family. His love for the Yankees and New York Giants were like no other. Near or far Pat loved his sons, he was always so proud of you all. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends, meeting for breakfast at McDonald's then out for whatever adventure awaits them that day. His legacy will live on through the ones he left behind. A special thank you to the staff at Wilson Hospital (ICU 3), you all are angels on earth.  A celebration of life will be held at later date.  Please contact nlk16roc@gmail.com for details.
