Phillip R. Marks, 66, passed away at West Chester Medical Center on December 12, 2024.
Phil was born in Binghamton N.Y. the first son of Howard and Eva Marks. He was raised in Conklin NY, graduated from SV High School and SUNY Binghamton with a Bachler of Science in the School of Management. He grew to 6’ 5”, a tall, big guy and as nice as he was tall.
He was well liked by all, especially the elderly. He held many jobs in his lifetime- owned a tavern, town supervisor, stone quarry manager, motor vehicle operator, and final employment for A&D Transport until his long-term kidney conditions took its toll.
He was predeceased by his father Howard Marks; nephew Eric Marks; and several close cousins.
Survived by his mother Eva Peabody (Stepfather Franklin); foster son Jeremy; brother Edward (Pamela) Marks, nephew Tim Marks and brother Donald Marks; and several cousins.
A Funeral Service will be held on January 2, 2025 at 12Noon at the Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home Inc., 137 Robinson St. Binghamton, NY. Pastor Joann Ferguson will officiate. The family will receive friends from 11am until the time of the service.
Following the service a celebration of Phil’s life will be held at the Moose Lodge on Henry St. Binghamton at 1:30.
