Philomena M. Silba “Chickie,” of Binghamton, went into the arms of our Lord on April 21, 2026.
She was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Filomena Silba; her brother, Anthony Silba; and her sisters, Vera Fletcher, Lillian Tombs, and Adaline Stafford.
She is survived by her brother, Peter Silba (Marygrace); Josephine Fragale; Lena Silba; and Florence Nanni (Steve). She is also survived by her daughter and best friend, Barbara Brown, and her son, Larry Tompkins Silba (Terry).
She was lovingly cherished by her grandchildren, Christi Bill (Dan Papa), Michael Bill, Katie Donahue (Jordan), Gianno Silba (Emma Morgan) and Marissa Silba.
She was also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, who knew her as Grandma Didi and were the loves of her life, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Philomena will be remembered for her kind heart, deep faith, and the love she shared with everyone around her.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Binghamton on May 19, 2026 at 11am. The family will receive friends from 9:30am to 11am at the church.
