Pia Iuliana

       Pia Iuliani passed away on April 28, 2022 after a long illness. Her devoted husband of 63 years was by her side. She was 81 years old.

Pia was born in Italy on December 25, 1940. In April 1959, she married Pantalone Iuliani and the two moved to Binghamton, NY where they made their home. She is predeceased by her beloved son Sergio who died in 1988 at the age of 26. She honored his memory throughout her life and now is finally at peace in his arms. She is also predeceased by her parents and brother; sister-in-law Marie DiFulvio, brothers-in-law Rocco and Pio Iuliani.

In addition to her loving husband, Pia is survived by her sister Rena, six nieces and nephews, Mario DiFulvio, Theresa Styles (Mark), Jo DiFulvio (Ron Siwiec), Bonnie Emilio (Domenico), Maria DiFulvio (Tom Hellerud), and Gloria DiFulvio (Sally Linowski); many great nieces and nephews; her family still living in Italy including Nicolo, Argentina, Tony, Gabrielle, and Marcella and their spouses and children.

Pia was a seamstress for many years. She loved to garden and was known for her beautiful flowers. She also enjoyed taking long walks, sipping Italian coffee with her sister-in-law and her many friends, cooking, and baking. She devoted her life to her husband and family and always lived her life with grace. She was a blessing to us all and will be greatly missed.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 11am at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Binghamton.  The family will receive friends from 10am until 11am.  Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.   Arrangements are in the care of Albert J. DeMarco with the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME, INC.
