Rees G. Munro, Sr., 88 passed peacefully on January 18, 2021 after an extended illness. He was predeceased by his oldest daughter Lorraine and his brother James and three sisters, Margaret, Dorothy and Ethel. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Kathy (McKeon-DePue) Munro; his children Gail, Sally, Rees Jr. and Barbara; Kathy’s children Pauline, James and Daniel; multiple grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many wonderful friends and neighbors. He retired many years ago from International Paper. Rees had quest for knowledge, always taking night classes, college courses, was a Jack of all Trades, could fix anything, even started a small business. He and Kathy have been members of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, the AOH, Southern Tier Genealogical Society, Habitat for Humanity; had many hobbies, loved bowling, golf, fishing and even built a sailboat. Rees and Kathy enjoyed travelling together. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 9:30am at St. Paul’s Church in Binghamton. Burial will follow in Maine Cemetery.
