Richard T. Heatherman, 78, passed away with his family by his side on January 9, 2022. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Delores Heatherman; daughters Tracy Heatherman and Erin (Chris) Heatherman-Cherry; grandchildren, whom he adored Autumn, Cameron, Kaylyn and Carter; siblings Sharon, Diane “Dee”, Joanie and Paul; many nieces, nephews and special lifelong friend Carolyn and her family. He is predeceased by his siblings John, Gerald, Raymond, Judy, Mary and James.
He served in the United States Army, retired from Broome County Weights and Measures. A proud member of the AOH, American Legion, German Club and the Binghamton Elks Club. He was always the Life of the Party, living life to the fullest, always with a smile on his face.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 10am at St. Mary of the Assumption Church. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2022 from 4pm until 7pm at the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME, INC, 137 Robinson St., Binghamton. In keeping with Rick’s fun-loving spirit, we ask that everyone wears their Parade Day Best to calling hours. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
