Richard (Dick) Hover Obituary

Richard “Dick” Hover, age 84, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 1st, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Endicott, NY to Virginia Norton Stevens and is predeceased by his beautiful wife of 50 years, Maureen Hover. Richard is survived by his five children, Richard (Julie), Alicia, Stephen (Tracey), Debra (Arthur), and Carrie (Marie); his eleven grandchildren; one great grandson, his sister Susan Sullivan, and many nieces and nephews. Mass will be held at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church on Friday, October 15th at 11am. Richard was a dedicated coach, teacher, and Athletic Director for over 35 years at Union-Endicott High School. He was funny, generous, encouraging and loved watching his children and grandchildren sporting events. His family will miss him deeply. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Union-Endicott Varsity Club. Arrangements are by the Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home Inc. 137 Robinson Street, Binghamton.
