Rita (Detrick) Lobacz

Rita Detrick Lobacz, 90, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Wednesday, December 1, 2021.  She is predeceased by her husband Chester; sons: Mark, William, Richard; daughter: Maureen; mother Anna Detrick; father Burton Detrick; sisters: Margaret Glover, Doris Rinker; brothers: Jerry, Bernard and Richard.
She is survived by her son Lawrence Lobacz and his wife Jeri-Atlanta, GA and their children: Michael Lobacz-Nashville, TN, Matthew Lobacz and his wife Elisa- Atlanta, GA and Marisa Gebert and her husband Maj. Andrew Gebert-Savannah, GA., Daniel Lobacz and wife Andrea, son of deceased Mark Lobacz, daughter-in-law Dena Lobacz, wife of deceased Richard Lobacz and their children Dimitri and Antonia.  
She is also survived by her daughters: Therese Lobacz- Binghamton, NY and her children Shannon Lewis-Binghamton, NY and Katie Wheeler- Lexington, KY, Eileen Aswad and her husband John Aswad- Binghamton, NY and their children Mari Ball and husband Michael, Kali and John Jr. Aswad-Binghamton, NY; special nieces and nephews Donna Marion and her husband Gary, Steven Rinker and his wife Bert, Mike and Kathleen Rinker and Marilyn Portz all of Binghamton, NY; sister-in-law Marilyn Detrick and her daughter Karen and her husband Dave and son Jeffrey Detrick; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Rita was very active in her community while volunteering her time to many events.  She was also very active in her church including being a member of the choir. 
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 10am until 11am at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Hillcrest.  A Funeral Mass will follow at 11am.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
