Rose A. DiPietro (Carlini), 87, of Endicott, NY, passed away on October 27th, 2025, surrounded by so much love from her family. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 56 years, Ronald DiPietro; parents, Mariano and Anna Carlini; and siblings Marion DeNovellis, Vincent Carlini, and Carlo Carlini.
Rose is survived by her seven children: Pam (Jerry) Smith, Jodi (Scott) Alapeck, Leslie (Dan) Sinclair, Marty (Kate) DiPietro, Carrie (Steve) Wiseman, Andrea (Todd) Russo, and Andy (Lindsay) DiPietro; her grandchildren: Lindsey Lennon, Bridget, Ben, and Natalie Alapeck, Alison, Abigail, and Joey DiPietro, Giana and Jack Wiseman, Presley and Giovanni DiPietro, and Cecelia Russo; one great-grandson, Michael Ronald Lennon; her sister, Theresa Smith; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Rose was a 1956 graduate of Union-Endicott High School. She worked at IBM for several of her younger years, enjoying time spent golfing, vacationing, and “buying a new convertible every year or so.” She was then a devoted wife and mother of seven, who still kept herself busy with several jobs working with the public–Rose really was an admirable lady in every way! She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church her entire life. Her Catholic faith was an integral part of her, guiding her throughout all of her days. In her later years, Rose and Ron were fortunate to spend 25 years in Florida during the winter months, making so many special memories with several old and new friends. Rose loved having Sunday dinners (and breakfasts), going on summer vacations with her large family, and of course frequent trips to the casino with her family and many friends. Some of her favorite things included enjoying sweet treats (especially anything lemon!), reading, watching scary movies, and going on fun day trips with her family. She loved playing card games with her grandchildren and entertaining everyone with her one-of-a-kind wit.
The most important thing in Rose’s life was her family–and she and Ron have left a legacy that can be witnessed by their family’s closeness and love.
