Sarah A. (McNeal) Baker

Sarah (McNeal) Baker, 90, born August 31, 1934 in Pansey, Alabama, passed away Wednesday May 14, 2025. 
Sarah was predeceased by her loving husband of 67 years, Lawrence (Larry) Baker.  She was also predeceased by son-in-law Brian McCulloch, sisters Hazel McNeal, Cora Virginia McNeal, Lila Virginia McNeal, Lizzie Jean Adams, Nellie Doris Walters, Glenda Faye Clayton, Vickey McNeal and Katie (Tommie) Kay and brothers William McNeal and Joe Ray McNeal. 
She is survived by three children Lawrence H. Baker Jr (Sarah), Donald E. Baker (Sally) and Wanda McCulloch Blum (Scott), four grandchildren Donnie Baker (Terri), Jamie Davis, Cody Baker and Cole Baker.  Sarah is survived by 4 great grandchildren Mea Davis, Brody Bedford, Wyatt Baker and Piper Davis.  She is also survived by one brother Al Trull, one brother-in-law Guy Kay and two sisters-in-law Betty McNeal and Mary McNeal. 
Sarah met her husband in Panama City Beach, Fl while he was serving in the US Air Force.  They were married August 1, 1954 and from that point on they made their home in Binghamton, NY where Larry was born and raised. Sarah and Larry traveled frequently to visit her extended family in Alabama. Sarah was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church for over 70 years and was very active in the church before her age kept her from participating.  

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 from 11am to 12pm at the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 137 Robinson Street  Binghamton, NY 13904.  A Funeral Service will follow at 12Noon at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Chenango Valley Cemetery.
