Our beautiful Sarah passed away very suddenly on Thursday February 16th 2023. Sarah had an undiagnosed illness that took us all by horrible surprise. To say our hearts are broken would be the understatement of a lifetime. Sarah, was born on March 16th, 1998, in Binghamton N.Y. to her overjoyed parents Patricia “Patti “Sorensen (nee’ Standish) pre-deceased and Uriah “Jimmy” Sorensen pre-deceased. She was welcomed with open arms to her new family by her older brother Zachary Sorensen. She was loved deeply by her surviving Grandparents (and pre-deceased Grandmothers) her Aunt, Aunts & Uncles, cousins, and lifetime best friends. Where do we begin or how do we say goodbye to a young life that was taken way too soon? Sarah was sweet and kind and endured more loss than anyone ever should, especially at such a young age. She loved all animals, but cats were her favorite. Her gray cat “Frak” brought her so much love and joy. She loved listening to The Beatles (her dad’s favorite) as well as The Front Bottoms, Ed Sheeran and T.Swift . She loved chicken parm, and her recent trip to Disney World. Her humor and quick wit could always crack her family up! She graduated from Greene Central High School, attended S.U.N.Y. Oneonta and pursued a degree in Psychology. “Although they may be parted. There is still a chance that they will see.”-Let it be. Calling hours for friends and family will be held at Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home, inc. on Friday 3/3/2023 at 10:00am-12:00pm. Followed by a private family burial at Chenango Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Every Cat’s Dream: www.everycatsdream.org
