Shannon Brooks of Binghamton went to be with her Lord after a long illness on Tuesday October 17, 2023. She is predeceased by her husband Leo Brooks, her parents Theresa and Richard Wellmen, a sister Theresa Seymour and a very dear friend Dixie Lyon.
She is survived by her brother William Wellman Sr., Michael Noce Wellman, many loving nieces and nephews and her best friend/family member Stacey Richards. She will be missed by her children (doggies) Sophie, Boobear and Lyon.
Shannon was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption and St. Paul's churches and she ran the Community free meal at the St. Mary of the Assumption Rec. Center that she was so very proud of. Nothing made her happier than feeding "her people" every Saturday. A very special thank you to all of her helpers/volunteers/friends with helping prepare the food and running the meals when Shannon couldn't make it. She was so proud of her helpers and volunteers, and she loved each and every one of them.
There will be a Memorial Mass on October 28, 2023 at 12Noon at St. Paul's Church on Chenango Street in Binghamton.
