Sharon peacefully went to her eternal rest on January 25, 2024. She is reunited with her father Wesley Waite, mother and father in-law Mary and Claude Knapp and all who predeceased her.
Sharon enjoyed road trips with her husband in their convertible, dinners with her family, playing her piano, selling treasures on E-bay, going to auctions, garage sales, Tioga Downs, Animal Adventure, Fly Creek, The Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz Museum and most of all Bolt Castle in the Thousand Islands. She is survived by her mother Louise Waite, brothers Alan and Aaron Martin and their families. Her best friend and husband of 40 years, Ray Knapp. Her children, Misty Evans (Brad), Nicole and Eric Anthony, Matthew and Marissa Knapp, and Melissa Knapp. Her grandchildren Tyler Perkins (Samantha), Kyle and Christina Evans, Dylan Richards, Reagan Knapp and Kaleb Anthony. Her great grandchildren, Chase, Gracie, Greyson, Olivia, and a baby girl in May. Brother and sister in-law, James and Shari Knapp with their family. Her cat Lucy along with many special friends.
Per Sharon’s request, there will be no services and a celebration of life will be held on a later date. Our family would like to thank Dr. Harris and the UHS medical team for the care she received and to Lourdes Hospice who helped our family care for her in the comfort of her home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Animal Adventure or The Broome County Humane Society in Sharon’s memory.
