Theresa L Gardner

 Our beautiful Wife/Mother/Grandmother Theresa Leona Gardner entered heaven on 12/27/2020 She was welcomed in heaven by her five children whom she missed dearly.   She was predeceased by her parents, Hubert & Junia Swartwood; Siblings Joyce Griffin, Bettie Barnum, William, Jim, Don and Robert Swartwood; Her five precious children Herbie, Joseph Kirkland, David Gardner, Bettie Compton & Sheryl Diller.  She will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 41 years Douglas Gardner, sibling Kitty (Richard) Donovan, Children Georgia (Tom) Ryan, Theresa Furlong, David (Sherry) Kirkland, Tracy (Tim) Tokos, Tammi Mcbride, Michelle Reynolds, Brenda (Tom) Allen, 21 Grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She was born on February 6, 1937 in Waverly, NY.  She worked many waitressing jobs, and it was at Park Diner where she met the love of her life, Douglas.  In her later years she became a Direct Sales queen.  She was the "Mary Kay” of Tupperware.  She could sell anything to anyone.  Family was her life, She loved hosting big family gatherings and in her final days she was surrounded by nothing but unconditional love from her family. Our family would like to give a special thank you to Dana Rose with Lourdes Hospital Palliative Care for all of her kindness, and love she showed our mother/grandmother & family in her final days. Visitation will be held on January 4, 2021 from 10am until 12pm at Crossroads of Life Church in Binghamton, NY. A Funeral Service will follow at 12pm with Pastor Dann Travis Officiating. Burial will follow in Chenango Valley Cemetery.
