Thomas Foody, 80, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 5, 2023 after a hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born August 21, 1943 in Seattle, Washington. He is survived by his devoted wife, Linda, his children, Michael (Stephanie) and Ellen, and his grandson Max. He is also survived by a sister, Ann (Jerry) MacDuffee of Oceanside, CA and was predeceased by his brother, Joseph. Tom graduated from St. Paul’s High School, Broome Community College and Jacksonville University. He honorably served his country in the Navy during the Vietnam War, followed by years in the Naval and Army Reserves. He worked for and retired from Broome Developmental Center. He was known for his strong will and unique sense of humor, but his most established legacy by far was the pride he had for his family.
A Funeral Mass will be offered at St Paul’s Church in Binghamton on Monday, November 13, 2023 at 10:30 am with an hour to receive friends beginning at 9:30am. The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation for the kindness displayed by the good people of Johns Hopkins Hospital, Broome Oncology and Lourdes Hospice.
