Thomas Scheiner "Tommy Gunn", 68, of Windsor NY, passed unexpectedly on April 24, 2026. Tom was a devoted father, husband, and friend. He proudly served his country in the United State Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He dedicated over 23 years with New York City Police Department, retiring as a Lieutenant with the NYPD Drug Enforcement Administration task force; a 9/11 survivor and first responder. Thomas also served as former president of the Leathernecks Motorcycle Club, Mountain Chapter. Most importantly he was a father and loving husband whose greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Yvonne; his children Christina, Tanya, Maximillian and companion Brittney Cassar, Justin and fiancé Kallyn Stanbro; and his stepchildren, Brittany and husband Jeremy Rawls and Nicholas Uzzolino and fiancé Kelly Azevedo, his sister Christine Scheiner. He was a proud grandfather to 6 grandchildren Killian Scheiner, Emelia Rawls, Wolfgang O'Connell, Lulani O'Connell, Layla Figueroa- Scheiner, Violet O'Connell He was preceded in death by his parents Maximillian and Frances Ratchford Scheiner, and his daughter Patricia Scheiner. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026, from 5-7 PM at Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home, with a Funeral Mass on Saturday at 10 AM at St. Mary's of the Assumption, Binghamton, NY Thomas will be remembered for his dedication, strength and deep love for his family.
