Thomas E. Enright Jr.

Thomas E. Enright Jr 90, passed peacefully in his sleep Dec 31, 2020 after a short battle with Covid. He is reunited with his wife Edythe, where he can bring in the new year dancing with her. He is survived by his children Nancy & Mickey McKane, Bob and Marcia Enright, Jim & Claudia Enright, Peggy & Chris McAuliffe, and Laurie & Tom Dougherty; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Marissa Todd, Natassia Enright & Rick Degraw (Tamsin & Rowan), Seamus Enright, Aidan Enright, Monica Enright, Ryan Enright, James & Callie McAuliffe, Dan McAuliffe, Bethany & John Peterson (Sofie, Ari, Oliver & Codie), Dylan Dougherty, Brad & Toni Dougherty (Landon & Samuel); and many other cherished relatives. 
Tom lived a full and happy life. He joined the Air Force and became a navigator and pilot. He was a Korean war veteran and was honorably discharged at the rank of Major. Tom loved the air force, but he traded his air force life in for the love of his growing family. Tom was a family man through and through. He was a devoted husband who had Friday night “home dates” for many, many years. He also loved to dance with his wife. From slow dancing to the radio, to disco lessons in the 70’s to joining a square-dancing club. Over the years there were many family outings, including camping, hiking (with the “arrow” game), and trips to Jones Beach, there were fun times in the backyard pool, and many years of sailing and water skiing at the cottage on Page Lake. He was proud of his children and loved watching his grandchildren grow up. Tom loved doing crossword puzzles, watching the Mets and Jets games and of course eating sweets. He was a man of few words, and left us with his love and this... he had no regrets. 
The family would like to give special thanks to the wonderful staff at Good Shepherd Fairview Home for the care, kindness and love you gave dad. A special thanks to Nurse Jen and Lori S for keeping us in touch this past year.
